Third year Edinburgh University (2013) - Rhino + Grasshopper + live-scripts
This project used live-feeds to simulate a real-time storm displacing objects in a grid. This ultimately formed random patterns which were then analysed in terms of design (in section and plan) but also culturally, as the live-feeds were taken from social media platforms in order to map and deconstruct the phenomenon of hype.
Short film (2010) - Photographer + Colour Corrector + Assistant Director
A man suffers from insomnia and during his sleepless existence he is undertaking the writing of a script. A script about a man that is incapable of sleeping. The darkness and psychological tendencies that emerge from this is taking him to places he could not even dream of.
This project required a sensitivity to the meta-qualities of the script and a clarity in photography, as the story otherwise could be harder to grasp for the audience. The mixing of dream sequences, shooting love scenes like torture scenes and torture scenes like love scenes as well as experimenting with lenses and tracking shots rendered this film a joy to make.
